the mirror

she touched the mirror
and spoke her words,
she asked some questions
and she was heard,
for once

spoke to the mirror,
deaf and blind,
sat and waited,
a fearful state
of mind

in the mirror,
this holy writ,
she trusted the glass,
but not who stood
in front of it
